Folksy Friday: Spring

So its nearly spring (no really it is!) so i thought i would devote the Folksy Friday to the most hopeful of seasons.
We seem to be making a habit of moving in the spring here at Roses HQ with a move hopefully not to far away, new beginnings and all that. Hopefully this will be the last one for a while, somewhere quiet and peaceful with a garden, lovely. I am also on a diet (again!) and looking into courses to become a teaching assistant for children with special needs, so lots of newness and exciting times.

So here's some of my favorite spring inspired items

An obviously less than willing model but really cute none the less!!

Lovely bowl for anywhere in the house, i think it would be my BBQ bread bowl

This would suit my colour scheme lovely, hint hint!

Give yourself a lift with this

Upcycling at its loveliest!

Hang spring from your ears

Smell spring in your home (even when its dark and grey)

Wear spring on your chest (/bag/coat/hat/etc)

Keep spring in your home with this lovely Green man

Hopefully thats brightened things up a bit! Now out into the drizzle....................

Roses & adventures

Finally things have started to feel normal again after Christmas. Due to our nasty bout of flu i felt awful for weeks then just drained and totally unmotivated. Chloe's appointments started again last week and i think having to organise for those meant i started to feel normal again. The best of them being collecting her new leg splints which are absolutely fantabulous!!!!

She's not too happy about walking in them yet but that should be ok in a week or so. These ones have little heels to help position her knees forward and stop her locking them.

We're still waiting to hear when her operation will be in February on her heart, Great Ormond Street seem to be taking foooorrrrrevvvver.

And i have been making Roses, it being Valentines soon. I am not a Valentines fan really, especially being single, but thought i would indulge and make some girly loveliness in honor of the day.

So there we are some generally lovely things to brighten up our January! :)

Lurgy in the Roses bushes

Well its been some time since my last post because we've had lurgy here at the Roses HQ all over Christmas and New Year and to be honest it rather knocked the stuffing out of me. So theres been very little in the way of, well, anything really while i try and find some energy to get going again.
Some Valentines stuff is on the way and maybe some lovely owls and cats too. We'll see how that energy comes!!

Happy New year everyone.
